The End.

This is officially the last post for Octopus Fashion! While it's certainly been a great run, I feel as though I've outgrown this little blog. It holds a lot of nostalgia and high school angst that I'm not completely ready let go of, but I'm very excited to start recording a new chapter in my life. I'm currently working on a few new projects that include a college street style blog and a new lifestyle blog + youtube collab, that will hopefully be launching in a couple months. I've missed blogger too much!
Thanks to all of you you've supported me through Octopus Fashion. To keep up with me and look out for announcements about my new projects, please follow me on my tumblr: http://thatsmesomeday.tumblr.com/

Where the fuck's your diamond ring?

End of senior year has been so hectic. Proms, service projects, work, etc. What have I been doing instead of blogging? TUMBLING. I prefer blogging, but tumblr is a really easy way to organize inspiration and keep track of whatever pops into my head. I have an app that makes it super easy to update from my iphone,  so I'll mostly be working from that this summer.

ps. hello new followers!

And if I show up in a pink frilly dress, those kids won’t love me any more, or less.

How brilliant are these? This spread is from Candy, the world's first trans style magazine. It focuses on Anna and Grace, and even includes Tavi and Franca Sozzani! Looove it.

I'm officially done with high school. My last day was yesterday, had one exam today. It's kinda sad, but I'm ready for college.

Whoa, whoa, maybe its all the creams, that just made sense, girlfriends.

Just got back from DC yesterday night, and boy was it an exciting time to be visiting the capital! I lobbied, rallied and made history along with 80 other teen advocates. It was truly an inspiring experience.

In honor of Get Yourself Tested month, Planned Parenthood is offering free testing(while supplies last, possible minimal copay). So run on over to your local affiliate today!

I want them to share clothes, do each others hair and gossip about boys. Like I did with Mitchell.

In honor of my trip to DC I did a little research on streetstyle in the capital. I stumbled upon Curator of DC Style, which captures streetstyle in the capital, showcasing some of the really fabulous and fashionable locals.

oh oh what?, oh oh what?!

I'm not sure how much posting will be done in the next couple weeks because I have so many loose ends to tie up before prom and the end of classes. Thus expect highly sporadic posting, if any. Here are some inspiration boards I made.

The new blogger post editor refuses to center at least one photo in every post, dammit.

We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.

Katie Fogarty in Tales of the Unexpected shot by photographer Benjamin Kanarek for the February 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar China.
Looks like whoever thought up the concept for this editorial was on acid. Alice anyone? Strange but I like it nonetheless.

I'll pretend you can hear me. But it's no good, because I know you can't.

I'm currently obsessed with Eminem.

I'm a Level 4 Vegan: I don't eat anything that casts a shadow.

So planning on DIYing this soon. It seems pretty easy; black (p)leather creepers, silver & bronze sharpies, lots of obnoxious rhinestones, super glue, and voila!
